When we consider "Low Sodium Dieting", there is a lot of confusion on the matter. If you were to tell someone that you were on a low sodium diet, most would think that you are on some new weight loss fad. Low sodium diets usually are not designed for the reduction of fats and calories but for the reduction of salt (sodium) in the food. The recipes and articles on this website however, are designed not only for the reduction of ones sodium intake but also to help them loose weight!

Usually one goes on a low sodium diet due to a medical condition that has forced them down that avenue. It could be high blood pressure or much more serious issues such as congestive heart failure or other serious medical conditions. But, many that have been prescribed a low sodium diet because of a medical condition often need to loose weight as well. It is our mission that we can help in this area. As the creator of this website it is the position I find myself in. Not only needing to live a sodium restrictive diet but also a need to loose weight. I have published other low sodium websites but the calories and fat of the recipes we created were not as of equal importance as the sodium content of the food. We will hope to correct that direction on this site.
